Adopting 'Make in India', Dish TV Shifts 50% of its Manufacturing Unit to India
India's leading DTH company, Dish TV has begun its set-top boxes manufacturing in India. As a measure of adopting the country's 'Make in India' vision, the DTH company has shifted its set-top boxes production to India.

The first consignment of India made set-top boxes have already been manufactured and is ready to be shipped to the market. Dish Tv offers its DTH services throughout the country and operates Dish TV, D2H, and Zing brands. Additionally, its OTT service brand Watcho is also rapidly expanding. 
The company intends to shift around 50 percent of its production to India by the Q1 of 2021 and they are expecting that this move would benefit their business as well as the customers. However, the company expects that the process would further intensify in the months to come. The company is planning to set up the manufacturing unit in India to produce the major components and accessories of the set-top box. 
Dish TV is also intending to make the STB cabinet in India as well. Furthermore, the company has also begun procuring the power adaptor from Indian manufacturers. The discussion with remote control manufacturers to produce the remote controls in India is also in process.
